Transfer News: Man City sign England star

The prospect of Champions League football persuaded England striker Chloe Kelly to move to Manchester City after announcing her departure from Everton.

Kelly spent four seasons at Everton having signed from Arsenal but rejected a new two-year contract in June.

"The chance to play Champions League football and just being at the club as a whole is massive," she told BBC Sport. "I want to be successful and win trophies in a blue shirt. I want to do well in the Champions League and hopefully win the Champions League."

City finished second under points-per-game in the curtailed 2019-20 Women's Super League season and will join winners Chelsea in next season's Champions League.
