Manchester City join Chelsea in Champions League quarter-finals following Fiorentina win
Manchester City blasted Fiorentina 5-0 in the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie in Italy to win 8-0 on aggregate.
Ellen White and Sam Mewis shared four of the goals between them with Caroline Weir adding the other from the penalty spot.
It means City have already progressed further than last season when they were eliminated at this stage of the competition.
"We wanted to get to this point as a minimum because we've not been here for a while but we want more. We're hungry for success," City head coach Gareth Taylor told BBC Sport.
"The players are really keen to move and progress further. We want to be in the latter stages of this competition.
"I don't think there's an easy tie in the quarter-finals. It's a cup competition so you have to be ready and you have to be right over the two legs because if you're not, you can see what happens."
