Hege Riise to be offered Team GB role

England interim head coach Hege Riise is set to lead Team GB at the Tokyo Olympics. The Norwegian gold medal winner will be offered the role this week, having stepped in to replace Phil Neville for the Lionesses after his departure for Inter Miami.

Neville was also due to take charge of the Olympic squad so Riise will now combine both roles in the same way. Her first match for England ended in a 6-0 victory against Northern Ireland in February.

As well as winning gold as a player, Riise was an assistant coach for the USA when they won at the London Games in 2012.
