Tottenham appoint Lionesses coach Rehanne Skinner as new boss
England assistant coach Rehanne Skinner has been named as the new head coach at Tottenham Hotspur, replacing the sacked duo of Juan Amoros and Karen Hills.
Skinner will leave her role with the Lionesses with immediate effect, having agreed a contract with Spurs until the end of the 2022-23 season.
Tottenham are currently 11th in the Women's Super League table with no wins and just three points from a possible 21. American star Alex Morgan missed a crucial penalty in a Conti Cup shoot-out defeat to Arsenal on Wednesday - the final match of Amoros and Hills' tenure.
Skinner told spurs.com: "I am really excited to be joining Tottenham Hotspur and cannot wait to get started in the WSL after the international break.
"The club's philosophy and future plans are something I was really keen to be a part of. There is some incredible experience within this squad and I am looking forward to getting to work with the players so we can build on the progress that has been made so far and bring future success to the team."
