New contracts for Merseyside stars
Liverpool defender, Niamh Fahey, has agreed a new two-year contract with the club, despite their relegation from the Women's Super League.
Reds boss, Vicky Jepson, has welcomed the commitment shown by the Republic of Ireland star: "Going through these tough times, a leader like Niamh is invaluable," said Jepson.
"The experience she brings from playing in the top flight of the women's game for many years, with her international experience on top of that, stands out."
Meanwhile, Everton goalkeeper, Tinja-Riika Korpela, has extended her stay at the club for a further season.
The Finland international will now stay on Merseyside until June 2021. Korpela, 34, joined from Norwegian side Valerenga at the start of the last season following a previous spell at Bayern Munich where she won two Bundesliga titles.
