Lack of home challenge a concern at Scottish Open

The Ladies European Tour finally returned to action with the Ladies Scottish Open in North Berwick, but the lack of a British challenger for the title was a concern going into this week's AIG Women's Open.

The event was won by Stacy Lewis of the USA following a four-way play-off. She was joined in the shootout by fellow American Cheyenne Knight, Spain's Azahara Munoz and Emily Pederson of Denmark.

The highest British finisher was Scotland's Kylie Henry on one under par, four shots behind the leaders.

England's Charley Hull finished a further three shots back on two over. Former Women's Open winner Georgia Hall could only manage a total of seven over.

The Women's Open takes place at Royal Troon from 20-23 August.
