Exeter sports club receives sponsorship boost from Taylor Wimpey
Taylor Wimpey is supporting Exeter Ladies Water Polo Club to achieve further success this season with a second sponsorship boost.
The club currently plays its home matches at St Sidwell’s Point off Parish Street and had previously teamed up with Taylor Wimpey in 2020. The housebuilder has committed £500 specifically towards the ladies team at the club as a sponsorship deal for a second season this year.
Despite having one of the youngest average ages of a team in the whole of the British Water Polo League, the Ladies Senior Team has won successive back-to-back promotions, elevating them to Division One in the 2022 season.
James Barker, Chairman at Exeter Water Polo and Swimming Club, said: “Taylor Wimpey’s sponsorship has really enabled the Ladies team to develop its youth performance.
“This is a massive change from where the team was five years ago when it was considering entering the League, and the entire team and wider club are both grateful and indebted to the company for its ongoing support.”
Richard Plant, Sales and Marketing Director, for Taylor Wimpey Exeter, added: “The Exeter Ladies Water Polo team has come a long way from where it first started, from promotions to entering new leagues to now being considered as one of the top eight teams in the country.
“The hard-working group is based near our Mayfield Gardens development and we’re committed to giving back to the communities in which we build our new homes.”
