Women's Super League Round-Up: Tottenham, Aston Villa and West Ham

With clubs back in training and the new season approaching, Women's Sport Daily rounds up the latest news from the Women's Super League:

Tottenham

Former Birmingham City defender Kerys Harrop has joined Tottenham following her departure from the Blues.

The centre-back has agreed a two-year contract.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa have announced their fourth summer signing, the Germany international Lisa Weiß.

The keeper moves from Olympique Lyonnais, the current French and European champions.

Head coach Gemma Davies says that kind of experience will prove invaluable following Villa's promotion from the Championship.

“Lisa is going to bring many qualities, on and off the pitch, to complement our existing squad. She knows what it takes to be successful at the top level, both on the international stage and domestically.

“Lisa was keen to take on a new challenge and we’re hoping she can help us as we embark on our first season in the FA Women’s Super League.”

West Ham

France defender Hawa Cissoko has signed for West Ham from French club ASJ Sojaux.

The former Paris St.Germain youngster is a right-back but can play anywhere across the back four.

“It makes me very happy to join West Ham United," Cissoko told whufc.com.

"I know West Ham is a big club and it is a dream for me to come here and play in England. I am so very, very happy to be here."
