Transfer News: Reading get Carter to join star strike force

Reading have completed the signing of Arsenal striker Danielle Carter. Manager Kelly Chambers hopes the England star's arrival will guarantee goals after a trophy-laden decade with the Gunners.

Carter won three Women's Super League titles and two FA Cups during her time in North London, although her career has been seriously curtailed by knee injuries over the past two seasons. 

But the England international is now back fully fit and Chambers is convinced she will be a valuable addition to the Royals' roster. "I am extremely excited to bring Dan to the club," she told readingfc.co.uk.

"She is an exciting, explosive player who is definitely one to get the fans on their feet. I cannot wait to work with her and get her back to what she does best, which can be world class."
