Reshmin Chowdhury tops poll for favourite female sports reporter
Surprizeshop, a popular ladies' golf company, has named the top 10 most loved female sports reporters in the UK right now, including Sam Quek, Seema Jaswal and Laura Woods.
Reshmin Chowdhury is unmistakably the UK public's favourite, achieving a whopping majority of 97% 'Love' on social media.
All of the female sports reporters that made the list are trending at a 'breakout' rate on Google (meaning that they are being searched for over 5000% more than last year). This is believed to be a direct result of the recent coverage of women's sporting events on TV, including The UEFA Women's EURO England 2022 and The British Women's Amateur Golf Championship.
Using a content analysis tool, Suprizeshop has revealed how the UK public is responding to each trending reporter on social media.
The results collected show the overall percentage of 'Love' reactions the women have received to all content published about them across socials. Other possible reactions include 'sad', 'angry', 'haha' and 'wow' - so a 97% love reaction for Reshmin Chowdhury shows that she is the nation's favourite.

Comment from Spokesperson at Surprizeshop:
"The UEFA Women's EURO England 2022 and The British Women's Amateur Golf Championship have sparked an unprecedented increase in Google searches for female sports reporters - proving the cruciality of representation of women's sport on TV.
“It was a pleasant surprise to find that the UK public's reaction to each individual has been overwhelmingly loving online. Sports journalism has traditionally been a man's game, but the data we found shows that the UK public has almost nothing bad to say about names including Reshmin Chowdhury and Sam Quek. These women are fast becoming trailblazers for increased representation of women in the sporting industry."
