England ready to kick-off in the Women’s European Championship
The wait is finally over and today is the day England will finally open the 2022 Women’s European Championship.
A record-breaking 500,000 tickets have been sold for the tournament, double the attendance figures for the previous Euros in 2017, and Wembley has already sold out for the final on July 31.
England will start the tournament at Old Trafford tonight (8pm), when the hosts and favourites take on Austria. It is going to be a wonderful celebration of women’s football – enjoy the rollercoaster.
