Lioness Jill Scott joins Everton on loan

Manchester City midfielder Jill Scott has joined Everton for the remainder of the season. Scott has found her opportunities limited at City, despite signing a new contract in June 2020.

The lure of being selected for the Team GB squad to compete at the Tokyo Olympics persuaded the 33-year-old to seek more regular football after starting just twice for City so far this campaign.

Everton manager Willie Kirk was delighted with the addition to his squad: "Her achievements in the game are incredible, and that was recognised with her MBE in the 2020 New Year's Honours list.

"She is very excited to join us and I expect her to challenge and raise our standards, adding to the good work we are doing."
