England were handed the 2020 Women's Six Nations title despite not playing this weekend after Scotland ended France's hopes of taking the title with a late try to claim a 13-13 draw in Glasgow.

The Red Roses are on course for the Grand Slam, having won all four fixtures so far and their final match against Italy coming up on Sunday 1 November. France needed to win both their remaining games to have a chance of taking the title but the draw in Scotland means they can no longer catch England regardless of the result in Italy.

Head coach Simon Middleton said: "We are delighted to have retained the title after four big performances from the team to date. It's a fitting reward for all the hard work put in earlier this year.

"We have a big week ahead and the aim is to stay focused on securing the Grand Slam in Italy next weekend."

Scotland now have three points from their three matches, with fixtures against Wales and Italy still to play.
