Hall in contention after opening round of the ANA Inspiration

England's Georgia Hall carded an opening round 69 to sit on three under par and tied for ninth place at the ANA Inspirational, the second major of the season following last month's Women's Open.

Compatriot Mel Reid also finished the day on three under, three shots behind leader Nelly Korda. The pair lead the English challenge after Charley Hull was forced to withdraw after testing positive for coronavirus.

Northern Ireland's Stephanie Meadow is in a tie for 19th place thanks to a two-under-par 70 in her first round.
