Transfer News: Everton sign French striker Gauvin

Valerie Gauvin has joined Everton from Montpellier on an undisclosed contract.

The France striker helped her country reach the quarter-finals of the 2019 World Cup.

She scored 14 goals in 16 appearances in the French league last season, which explains why Everton boss Willie Kirk was so keen for her signature.

"Signing Valerie is a real coup for the club and a sign of our ambition," he told evertonfc.com.
