Women's Super League Round-Up: Reading, Brighton and Manchester United
With clubs back in training and the new season approaching, Women's Sport Daily rounds up the latest news from the Women's Super League:
Reading
It's been a busy week in RG2, with three new signings announced. The latest sees Chelsea defender Deanna Cooper move to the Royals after three seasons with the champions.
She joins former Arsenal pair Danielle Carter and Emma Mitchell at the club.
Three more players - Kiera Skeels, Lily Woodham and captain Tash Harding - have signed new contracts.
Brighton & Hove Albion
Brighton have announced the arrival of Netherlands international Inessa Kaagman. The midfielder moves on a one-year deal from Everton where she has spent the last two seasons.
Kaagman is Albion’s fourth signing ahead of the new WSL season following the arrival of Nora Heroum, Katie Robinson and Katie Startup.
Manchester United
Manchester United have agreed a new one-year contract with full-back Martha Harris, with the option to extend for another year.
“I’m so happy to be signing a new deal with the club," Harris told manutd.com.
"I’ve loved every minute of the journey here so far and I can’t wait to see what the future holds."
Keeper Fran Bentley and Scotland defender Kirsty Smith will also remain at United for the 2020-21 season after having options in their contracts activated.
