Netball World Cup - one year on

The netball family is currently celebrating the one-year anniversary of the Netball World Cup in Liverpool.

Sixteen nations competed in the competition, which included the top six of the previous tournament which was held in Sydney, Australia. After two group stage rounds, Australia, England, New Zealand and South Africa all made it to the semi-finals. 

England - as hosts - finishing with a bronze medal in third. Scotland and Northern Ireland also took part in the tournament however Wales didnt qualify.

New Zealand beat Australia by one 52-51 to become champions for the fifth time.    

The Netball Show Podcast was the only UK based Netball podcast with daily updates from the tournament and they have been re-publishing their highlights on a year-to-date basis
