Premier 15s teams given green light to return to training

The Rugby Football Union has confirmed women's elite rugby players can return to training under the same criteria as elite men. The Premier 15s teams are eligible to follow the men's Premiership Rugby clubs in moving to Stage 2 of the Elite Sport Return to Training guidelines which allowed players to resume full-contact training in small groups.

A statement from the RFU said: "Premier 15s clubs are eligible to return under the elite guidance should they choose to do so"

The 2019-20 Premier 15s season was cancelled in March with no date yet set for the new campaign to get underway. Women's Sport Daily understands clubs are unlikely to return to full training until the timings for next season are confirmed.
