FA Cup to rescue women's season
The Football Association are increasingly hopeful there will be a Women's FA Cup final this year, despite the cancellation of the Super League season.
According to Telegraph Sport, the quarter-finals, semis and final could potentially be played ahead of a new WSL campaign starting in September.
It is understood the FA will hold further discussions this week and clubs would welcome the chance to start planning for pre-season once a resumption date is set.
Arsenal, Birmingham City, Brighton, Chelsea, Everton, Leicester City, Manchester City and Tottenham are the teams left in the competition.
